Background

Genevieve (Genna) McKenna is a Program Manager for the Office of International Medicine Programs (IMP). As Program Manager, Genna oversees the Summer Research and Medical Enrichment Program and Virtual Research Training Program in Precision Medicine. Genna also works with IMP’s partners and affiliates to coordinate clinical rotations for both GW and international medical students as part of the International Clinical Electives Program (ICEP).

Genna is originally from Chicago and realized her passion for global health when studying and volunteering abroad in Morocco. She completed her master’s degree in Public Health with a focus on Global Health Program Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation from the GW Milken Institute of Public Health in 2018.

Genna aspires to improve humanitarian response and services available to displaced communities. She speaks some Arabic and enjoys traveling, hiking, and visiting the many museums in the D.C. area.
