Title: Medical Director
Background
Dr. Brad Moore joined Office of International Medicine Programs (IMP) in July 2024 as a new Medical Director. He joined a team of current IMP faculty directors, including Dr. Stanley Knoll, Dr. Ali Pourmand, and Dr. Fernando Vidal-Vanaclocha. In this role, Dr. Moore promotes IMP's international medical education initiatives, assists in recruitment and selection for the International Sponsored Residency and Fellowship programs, designs and conducts lectures and workshops on American medical education for members of our international community, and provides guidance in new program implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. Dr. Moore also plays a key role in the development of IMP's international medical education and training programs.
In addition to his new role with IMP, Moore continues to serve as the Director of the Lifestyle Medicine Program at the GW Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA) and as an Associate Professor at SMHS and the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health. He is board-certified in internal medicine and lifestyle medicine and his clinical and research interests include lifestyle medicine, preventative medicine, health policy, public health, primary care, and clinical vaccinology.
Moore earned his medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly Hahnemann University), where he also completed a residency in primary care/internal medicine and served as Chief Medical Resident and Chief Administrative Officer at Hahnemann University Hospital. He came to GW in 1993, when he began a fellowship in medicine and primary care and later earned a Master's in Public Health in Health Care Administration in 1995. He joined the general internal medicine faculty at the GW MFA in 1995, and served as the Medical Director of the GW Physician Assistant Program from 1995-2012.
